Successful actor, comedian, director, producer and screenwriter Dany Boon (Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis, Rien à déclarer, Supercondriaque, Raid dingue, La Ch’tite Famille, 8 Rue de l’Humanité…) was honored at the FIFCL to celebrate his exceptional and eclectic career.

Kev Adams presented his film Maison de Retraite with Firmine Richard and Mylène Demongeot. On this occasion, he took part in a lively discussion on the sexuality of senior citizens and their daily lives in nursing homes.

Working with Le Splendid for many years, and then as a solo artist, Christian Clavier has established his own inimitable style, spanning several decades of French comedy, with numerous box-office successes to his credit.

FIFCL had the pleasure of organizing an exceptional meeting with Carole Bouquet to look back on her career, hosted by Philippe Reynaert, in the prestigious Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège.

Karin Viard is an emblematic French actress of stage and screen. Her dozens of films have earned her thirteen César nominations over the course of her career, including a win in the Best Actress category for Solveig Anspach’s Haut les cœurs.

“C’est arrivé près de chez vous” celebrated its 30th anniversary at the FIFCL, which brought together Benoît Poelvoorde, André Bonzel and Vincent Tavier for a memorable moment in theaters, hosted by Philippe Reynaert.

With over 250 films and plays to his credit, as well as a César, François Berléand is an integral part of the heritage of French cinema. Exploring every genre with passion and professionalism over the decades, he’s one of those people who don’t fit into any box.

A humorist, screenwriter, dialogue writer, adapter and actor, Jean-François writes for film, television, radio and theater. His humor is a hilarious blend of acerbic criticism and gritty writing. His career has included such resounding successes as Les Guignols de l’info (which has long influenced French public opinion) and OSS 117.

Les Visiteurs, Papy fait de la résistance, Le Père Noël est une ordure: Jean-Marie Poiré has transformed the face of French comedy with numerous classics whose popularity continues unabated. A prolific director, screenwriter and producer, he stands out for his unique approach to editing and dialogue.

Jaco Van Dormael honored us with a masterclass at FIFCL, hosted by Christophe Bourdon. A unique and exceptional opportunity for participants to learn more about his world, his career, his inspirations and his works.

FIFCL and Solidaris organized a conference on the theme of laughter, featuring Michel Cymes, Steven Laureys and Bruno Humbeeck.

What obstacles stand in the way of artists? How do they practice their art in Belgium’s audiovisual sector? What status do artists have?

Guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, luthier, producer and composer of film music, he has composed and produced some 30 film soundtracks, including the comedy “Nous 4”. Simon Fransquet from Liège will be the guest of honor at this unique Master Class, where he will demonstrate the power of music in film.
