Patrice Leconte first came to prominence as a screenwriter and director in the 80s with Les Bronzés, and has enjoyed one success after another with exemplary regularity, touching on every register: from comedy to more intimate cinema, via animation and documentary, with films such as Tandem, Monsieur Hire, Le Mari de la coiffeuse, La Fille sur le pont and Le Magasin des suicides.
The masterclass at the FIFCL, moderated by Philippe Reynaert, gave the filmmaker the opportunity to review his entire career, for which he won the César for Best Director for Ridicule.
