For this 11th edition, to be held from Tuesday November 10 to Saturday November 14, 2026, the registration deadline is Wednesday September 9 at 11:59 pm. It is imperative that the registration form be completed and validated by this date.

Since 2016, the Liège International Comedy Film Festival has offered a selection of short and feature-length films, reflecting the diversity of languages, peoples and cultures of international cinema. Since 2022, documentaries (portraits or biographies of comedy figures) have also been eligible, out of competition.

The competitions are all crowned with a Crystal Bull, awarded at the Festival’s closing ceremony at the Palais des Congrès. The Golden Bull is awarded to the FIFCL Grand Prize in the short and feature film categories.

The Selection Committee has sole authority to determine the section in which a selected film will be screened.

Selection committees

The registration fee (10€) must be paid at the time of online registration (via the form below). are entirely the responsibility of the producer/shipper. If your film is not selected by the festival committee, the registration fee will not be refunded.

The competition is open to feature-length and short films, as well as documentaries, comedies and never-before-seen films, produced in Belgium or abroad, and made in the 12 months preceding the FIFCL.

To be eligible for selection, a feature film must be over 60 minutes long.

The Festival does not accept films between 20 and 60 minutes in length (a short film of 20 minutes and 1 second is not eligible).

Films lasting 20 minutes or less are eligible for the short film selection.

Films in competition must not have been broadcast or presented online (Internet) or on television, nor released on DVD, Blu-ray or VOD.

An Internet link with password is required (e.g. on Vimeo). We do not accept DCP, USB keys, DVDs or any other physical medium for viewing films and documentaries.

If selected, the final copy of the film must be delivered to Liège no later than Friday, October 16, 2026.
