The competitions are all crowned with a Taureau de Cristal, awarded at the Festival’s closing ceremony at the Forum de Liège. The Golden Bull is awarded to the FIFCL Grand Prize in the short and feature film categories.
The films are divided into several sections:

The Selection Committee has sole authority to determine the section in which a selected film will be screened.

The registration fee (10€) must be paid at the time of online registration (via the form below). are entirely the responsibility of the producer/shipper. If your film is not selected by the festival committee, the registration fee will not be refunded.

The competition is open to feature-length and short films, as well as documentaries, comedies and never-before-seen films, produced in Belgium or abroad, and made in the 12 months preceding the FIFCL.

To be eligible for selection, a feature film must be over 60 minutes long.

The Festival does not accept films between 20 and 60 minutes in length (a short film of 20 minutes and 1 second is not eligible).

Films lasting 20 minutes or less are eligible for the short film selection.

Films in competition may not have been broadcast on the Internet or released on DVD.

An Internet link with password is required (e.g. on Vimeo). We do not accept DCP, USB keys, DVDs or any other physical medium for viewing films and documentaries.

In the event of selection, the final copy of the film must be delivered to Liège no later than Friday, October 17, 2025.

The selection committee will be able to view a film
- WITHOUT subtitles if the original language of the film is French or English.
- WITH subtitles in French or English for other languages.

IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED,

You’ll be notified before the official press conference scheduled for early October.

The film must be sent to Gofilex (Gofilex will then send your film to the Festival by network).

The Film Department will give you all the details in due course, but only if your film is selected.
