As part of the FIFCL, Clap !, les Grignoux and Écran Large sur Tableau Noir put on a special event: the sound effects lesson! The job of sound effects technician consists in reconstituting sounds that could not be captured during the shooting of a film. It was a very traditional, manual profession, and the sound engineer was certainly the most fascinating film technician to see at work! Two technicians from the Dame Blanche studio were on stage with their equipment. Sound-proofed film extracts were projected onto the screen, then noised live! After a demonstration phase, a few children were invited to try their hand at sound effects themselves! This live demonstration was given by two excellent Belgian artists: Olivier BARRET and Pierre GRECO.
