Rendezvous with Karin Viard

An emblematic French actress of stage and screen, Karin Viard has made a name for herself in dozens of films, earning her thirteen César nominations over the course of her career, including a win in the Best Actress category for Solveig Anspach’s Haut les cœurs. She alternates drama and comedy with equal virtuosity, and has enjoyed a string of box-office successes such as Polisse, La famille Bélier and Jalouse, which also earned her César nominations. In recent years, she has also appeared on television, in Alex Lutz’s La Vengeance au Triple Galop and Jérôme Commandeur’s recent Monde magique. Last year, she played Marie-France Trémeau, Paul Francoeur’s political opponent, in Pierre Schoeller’s series Dans l’ombre, which had its world premiere at Séries Mania.

Karin Viard honored us with an exceptional meeting, moderated by Thierry Luthers at the Cité Miroir, in partnership with the Province of Liège, on her long career, with excerpts from her greatest roles.
