Rendezvous with Carole Bouquet

FIFCL had the pleasure of organizing an exceptional meeting with Carole Bouquet to look back on her career, hosted by Philippe Reynaert, in the prestigious Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège.

As soon as she finished her studies, she entered the Conservatoire Supérieur d’Art Dramatique in Paris. She was noticed by Luis Buñuel, who cast her in Cet obscur objet du désir (1977). In 1989, she won the César for Best Actress in Bertrand Blier’s Trop belle pour toi (1989). A versatile actress, she has made a string of films in all genres: Embrassez qui vous voudrez by Michel Blanc (2002), Feux rouges by Cédric Kahn (2004) and Les Hauts Murs by Christian Faure (2008). In 2019, she takes part in the success of Christophe Honoré’s Chambre 212.

Carole Bouquet is equally appealing to television viewers. In 2016, she starred in Frédéric Garson’s series Les Hommes de l’ombre, and in 2017, in La Mante by Nicolas Jean, Grégoire Demaison and Alice Chegaray-Breugnot, in which she plays serial killer Jeanne Deber. On the international scene, she took part in the series Rosemary’s Baby by Scott Abbot and James Wong (2014). She will soon be appearing in the adaptation of the Spanish series Gran Hotel on TF1, as well as in the series En thérapie on ARTE in the role of an analyst.
