The walk of fame

Right in the heart of the action! Visiting Liège is a delightful blend of tradition and modernity: breathe in the past in the narrow streets of Outremeuse, take on the challenge of climbing the Montagne de Bueren and its 374 steps, savor a waffle in the Place du Marché, and marvel at the cathedral. But for film buffs, the place to be is Rue Pont d’Avroy. This is where the Walk of Fame stretches out. Official FIFCL. Come and collect your favorite actor’s star and strike a pose between screenings!

It’s our permanent red carpet right in the heart of the city! Since 2016, Rue Pont d’Avroy has paid a vibrant tribute to the great figures of cinema and comedy. The stars leave their imprints engraved on magnificent blue stone slabs, entirely hand-carved by Belgian artist Jozia Gozdz.

The highlight: At each edition, the new plaques are unveiled during a grand , free public ceremony. It’s the perfect opportunity for festivalgoers to share in the excitement alongside the honored actors and directors. Whether they’re legendary stars or up-and-coming talents, the Liège Walk of Fame grows every year thanks to an ever-larger and more enthusiastic audience. Stroll down the street to discover them and get a firsthand feel for the legend of cinema!
