Tax-Shelter Conference: Optimizing Belgian Business Taxation

Taking advantage of the Tax-Shelter to optimize the taxation of Belgian companies was more than ever an opportunity not to be missed.

In this context, the Liège International Comedy Film Festival organized a conference to explain, clearly and in detail, the joint benefits of Tax Shelter for companies, for the economic and artistic development of audiovisual production, and for Belgian public finances. This tripartite win-win approach was explored by three experts in the field:

  • Fabrice Grognard, Tax Partner at BDO
  • Olivier Bronckart, General Manager, Inver Tax Shelter & Versus Production
  • Bouli Lanners, actor (Astérix et Obélix : Au service de sa Majesté, Les Vacances du Petit Nicolas) and director (Eldorado, Les Premiers, Les Derniers)

It was an ideal opportunity to familiarize oneself with, or deepen one’s knowledge of, this tax incentive which had been proving its worth for over ten years, and which had become all the more essential with the introduction of Tax Shelter 2.0 a year earlier.

The program showed how the Tax-Shelter can benefit companies while supporting the Belgian audiovisual sector, and how it can be used to contribute to the development of cinema and artistic creation, while optimizing tax benefits.

The conference offered a unique opportunity to better understand the crucial role of the Tax-Shelter in audiovisual production and its impact on the Belgian economy.
