General Information

When will the 11th edition of the festival take place?

The 11th edition of the Liège International Comedy Film Festival will take place in Liège from Tuesday, November 10, through Saturday, November 14, 2026.

Where and when can I see the films and meet the guests?

Early October is when everything is revealed! As soon as the press conference is over, the Official Selection and the full ticket lineup will be posted on our website. Stay tuned: new stars are being added regularly right up until the launch. As for the surprise guests at the ceremonies? Shh… It’s top secret until the big day!

I've lost or found an item—what should I do?

Don’t panic—we’ve got this! If you’ve lost or found something, head to the Information Desk at the entrance to the Palais des Congrès. That’s the hub for lost and found items.

Bonus tip: Right next door, a shopping area is waiting to lighten your load (and free up your arms). Take a look at the festival map to find your way around in a flash!

HOW CAN I GET AUTOGRAPHS FROM CELEBRITIES ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL?

Get your smartphones out! To see the film crews walk the red carpet, head over every day to the red carpet and the official photocall at the Palais des Congrès. Want to test your posing skills? There are photocalls open to everyone inside the Palais. Keep your eyes peeled—guests love to show up unannounced! You can also try to get an autograph before or after the screenings. They’re there for you!

Where can you see the guests outside of movie theaters?

Let’s head to Rue Pont d’Avroy! That’s where the guests will unveil their plaques on the Liège Walk of Fame. To keep the celebration running smoothly, please play along: stay behind the safety barriers and follow our staff’s instructions. WHAT CAN I DO IF I'M A VICTIM OF DISCRIMINATION, ABUSE OR VIOLENCE?

Your safety is our top priority—we have a zero-tolerance policy here! Our team is trained to listen to you, protect you, and support you in cases of discrimination, abuse, or violence. Have a concern? Immediately speak with a volunteer, a security officer, or head to an Info Point. We act quickly, discreetly, and effectively. You are not alone!

What is the dress code for the festival?

Break out the sparkles! For the opening and closing ceremonies at the Salle de l’Europe, we’re pulling out all the stops: tuxedos or evening wear are required, along with elegant shoes. Leave your backpacks and tote bags at the coat check to keep your look impeccable. For all other screenings (Salle Uhoda at the Palais, the downtown Palace, Sauvenière, and Churchill theaters, or Kinepolis Rocourt), no pressure: smart casual is more than enough!

What are the address and hours of the Palais des Congrès?

This is the beating heart of the festival! Find us at the following address: Esplanade de l’Europe 2, 4020 Liège, Belgium.

Hours: From Tuesday, November 10, through Saturday, November 14, 2026, the Palais des Congrès will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. nonstop. Get ready for some intense days (and nights) of cinema!

IS THE FESTIVAL ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs)?

Laughter knows no borders, and the FIFCL knows no barriers! We’re doing everything we can to welcome you in the best possible conditions:

  • Theaters: The vast majority of our venues and theaters are wheelchair accessible and equipped with accessible restrooms.
  • The Palais des Congrès: There is an elevator right next to the official photocall. You’re going to shine on the red carpet!
  • On-site: Have a question or need a little help? Our amazing volunteers are here to help you at any time.

We are a specialized institution. Can we come as a group?

We’d be delighted! If you represent an organization or institution for people with special needs, please contact us right away at info@fifcl.be. We’ll work with you to plan your visit (for one or more days) to ensure you have a truly special experience.

Tickets, PASSES & Payments

WHEN DOES THE TICKET OFFICE OPEN?

Online ticketing, accessible via our official website, will be available as soon as the program is announced in early October.

For the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as certain meetings with guests and film professionals, tickets may open several weeks before the press conference.

I'D LIKE TO COME FOR SEVERAL DAYS, HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT?

The Festival offers different types of PASS to fully immerse yourself in the film program and attend the official ceremonies at the Forum de Liège.

DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?

In the interests of the environment, we recommend that you do not print out your ticket. To enter the festival, simply present your QR-code via your smartphone.

WHAT IS CASHLESS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

FIFCL offers you a dematerialized payment system: cashless. Thanks to an ultra-secure wristband, you can benefit from a simple, modern and practical means of payment for all your transactions during the festival!

Thanks to your festival wristband, you can pay for your drinks at the bars with ease. The integrated chip will enable you to make all your festival purchases(Espace Uhoda, etc.).

I'VE LOST MY CASHLESS BRACELET. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you lose your cashless wristband, the Festival will not be able to refund it or make any commercial gesture. Each bracelet/card is the responsibility of its owner.

HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?

It is imperative that you keep your wristband after the festival so that you can communicate your unique identification code and recover the amount remaining on your wristband.

The deadline for claiming a refund will be communicated before the start of the Festival on our official website and on our various social networks.

How does PASS work?

When you purchase a PASS, you will receive a PASSCODE (alphanumeric code) that will allow you to reserve tickets for our events as soon as they become available in our online ticketing service:

  1. Visit our online ticketing service
  2. Choose your event as soon as it is added to the ticketing service
  3. Click on “Enter your passcode by clicking here” to identify yourself.
    To do this, you’ll need either your passcode (consisting of 12 digits) or your order number (starting with “ORD”) and your email address.
  4. Your pass(es) will appear in a colored box, add your place(s).
    You can also reserve additional seats at the normal price.
  5. Finalize and confirm your order. You will receive a confirmation email.

WHAT ARE THE FEES AND TERMS FOR ACCREDITATION?

Different access for every profile! Here’s how to get your golden ticket:

  • Film Pros: Choose from our 4 pro packages (ranging from €15 to €70, including tax). Good to know: If your application is denied, you’ll receive a full refund!
  • Media & Journalists: Your badge is 100% free. Show us your press pass and help us ensure great media coverage of the event.
  • Golden Rule: Your accreditation is strictly personal. You may not lend or exchange it; doing so will result in your access being permanently revoked!
WHAT IS THE PROCESSING TIME AND PAYMENT METHOD FOR ACCREDITATIONS?

Plan ahead! Due to the high volume of applications, processing times range from 1 to 5 weeks. Once your application has been approved by our team, you will receive an email invitation to complete your online payment.

This step is required to finalize your access and pick up your badge on the day of the event.

I'M A FILM PROFESSIONAL, JOURNALIST AND/OR INFLUENCER. HOW CAN I REGISTER TO TAKE PART IN THE FESTIVAL?

Film and press professionals can apply for professional accreditation via our online form.

WHERE AND WHEN TO COLLECT YOUR ACCREDITATION

Your badge is waiting for you at the Palais des Congrès, right at the Accreditation Desk! Stop by during the following hours:

    • Tuesday, November 10: 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday, November 11, through Saturday, November 14: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Don’t forget: Be sure to bring your ID card (Pros) or press pass (Media) to pick up your precious ticket!

HOW TO REGISTER A FILM

Films in the Official Selection (documentaries, features and shorts) can be entered either via our online platform on the official website, or via Festhome.

If you have any questions about registering a film, please consult the ” Register a film ” section.

WHO SELECTS THE FILMS AND DOCUMENTARIES?

Made up of men and women from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the selection committee takes a multi-faceted and varied look at the works submitted to the Festival.

Bénédicte Philippon, Anaël Snoek and Nicolas Ceuppens are responsible for short films, while Constant Carbonnelle, Adrien François and Manuel Houssais are in charge of documentaries and feature films.

CAN I USE THE FESTIVAL'S LOGO OR NAME IN MY COMMUNICATIONS?

Warning: Exclusive Use! The FIFCL name and logos are protected and reserved solely for our partners and the films in the Official Selection. But don’t worry, lucky winners:

  • Has your film been selected (or won an award)? Great job! Our teams will send you the right graphic kit directly to make your poster stand out.
  • Are you an official partner? Just send an email to partenaires@FIFCL.be or , and our communications department will send you the correct files.
  • For everyone else, unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Safety Guide & Prohibited Items

WHAT OBJECTS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE ROOM?

It is forbidden to film or photograph in the cinema during screenings.
No food or drink is allowed, except for those sold in the cinema store.

Prohibited items:

  • Suitcases, large bags and backpacks over 15L;
  • Glass bottles, cans, alcohol, drugs ;
  • Weapons, sharp objects or any other object that could be dangerous.

The halls must be cleared at the end of each session.
Participation in the Festival implies tacit agreement to any appearance in the Festival image.

CAN I BRING MY PET WITH ME?

We love our furry friends, but this time, they’ll have to stay home! For reasons of hygiene, safety, and above all for their own well-being (the noise and crowds aren’t really their thing), pets are not allowed at the festival.

The exception that proves the rule: Guide dogs and service dogs are, of course, welcome to accompany their owners everywhere!

DRUG POLICY

We have a zero-tolerance policy here!

The FIFCL is an event open to the general public that brings together people of all ages—from the youngest to the oldest—in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. To ensure the event remains safe for everyone, drug use is strictly prohibited.

Any violator will be immediately removed from the festival and handed over to the police. We’re counting on you to keep a positive and festive spirit!

CAN WE EAT AND DRINK AT THE FESTIVAL VENUES?

No need—we’ll treat you to some local delicacies! Leave your lunchboxes behind and come enjoy a delicious meal at the Palais des Congrès instead:

    • At the Uhoda pop-up: Treat yourself to delicious prepared dishes (cold or ready to reheat) sourced from local producers and short supply chains.
    • At the Salle des Fêtes: Stop by our various bars to enjoy a drink and share some delicious appetizers throughout the festival.

Safety: To protect the venues and ensure everyone’s safety, no outside food, coolers, bottles, or cans will be allowed at the entrances.

WHAT IS THE FESTIVAL'S POLICY ON SOLICITATION AND FLYERS?

To keep our venues clean, attractive, and enjoyable for all festivalgoers, distributing flyers and putting up posters is strictly prohibited within the festival grounds and in the surrounding area without authorization. Do you have a project or event you’d like to promote?
