International Jury

The International Jury will be chaired by Carole Bouquet.

Actress, screenwriter, director, Chanel muse, Carole Bouquet places “nothing higher than laughter, in life as in cinema”. For the organizers of the Liège International Comedy Film Festival, entrusting him with the presidency of the International Jury for this 9th edition is an obvious choice, and an immense honor.

She will be supported by :

Sarah Perles (Moroccan-Portuguese actress, revealed in particular by her interpretation of one of the main roles in “Sofia”, by Meryem Benm’Barek, awarded in the Un certain regard section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival),
Mariloup Wolfe (Prolific and tireless Quebec actress and director),
Lionel Abelanski (Prolific French actor and director, notably noticed in “Boule et Bill”, “Barbecue” or “Magic in the Moonlight”),
Jean-Yves Roubin (producer and founder of Frakas Production, with whom he produced Julia Ducournau’s “Grave”, Fabrice Du Welz’s “Inexorable”, Pascal Bourdiaux’s “Les Blagues de Toto”, Marta Bergman’s “Seule à mon mariage”, and Julia Ducournau’s “Titane”, which won the Palme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival) and
François Berléand (a popular actor who has appeared in the action film series “Le Transporteur”, Christophe Barratier‘s “Les Choristes”, Guillaume Canet‘s “Mon idole” and Pierre Jolivet‘s “Ma petite entreprise”).

Jury for short films

The Short Film Jury will be chaired by Sarah Stern.

Sarah Stern moves through the world of comedy with the grace of a fish in the ocean: we’ve seen her in Katia Lewkowicz’s “Tiens-toi droite” and Pascal Bourdiaux’s “Les Blagues de Toto 2 : Classe verte”, but also in dramatic comedies such as Myriam Aziza’s “Les Goûts et les Couleurs” and Marion Laine’s “Voir le jour”.
And Les Tuches, of course.

She will be able to count on the help and wise counsel of :

Bruno Sanches (French actor, best known for playing one of the gossips in Canal+’s “Catherine et Liliane”), Nicolas Descalles (French producer and distributor Paradis Films), Tiphaine Daviot (French actress, noticed in the series “Une belle histoire”, created by Frédéric Krivine and Emmanuel Daucé, which won an award at the La Rochelle TV Fiction Festival), Anaël Snoek (Belgian film, television and theater actress, distinguished in the successful Belgian series “Baraki” created by Fred De Loof, Peter Ninane and Julien Vargas and broadcast on RTBF and Netflix) and Manon Verkaeren (co-production manager for new fiction formats, short series and podcasts at RTBF).
