The FIFCL is committed
to the causel
Each year, the FIFCL seeks to strengthen its environmental responsibility: a challenge that everyone takes up in their own way, and which takes on greater importance for a large-scale organisation.
Aware of its impact, the Festival continues to commit to a proactive approach based on 3 main principles – Reduce, Reuse, Offset – and numerous actions, including:
The choice of a fleet of official cars (Peugeot Schyns Group), 80% of which are electric or hybrid vehicles;
Encouraging the use of soft mobility and public transport (TEC buses, SNCB trains, bicycles, even renting an electric scooter);
Reducing the use of materials and resources: for instance, the size of our red carpet has been reduced by 65%, in addition to being partially recycled or reused;
Continuing collaboration with the Liège company Renewi for waste sorting and selective collection. We are convinced that our approach to waste recovery is in line with current social and regulatory developments, offering the most resource-efficient solution for both recycling and management.
59% reduction of paper printouts in favour of digital media (documents accessible via QR codes).
