While European comedy reigns supreme at the box office, French-language Belgian cinema faces a bittersweet paradox: our humor and self-deprecating wit are celebrated everywhere, yet our comedy feature films still struggle to secure funding. Is it a lack of institutional ambition or cultural caution?
