David Salles, President of the Short Film Jury!

Funny (of course), sensitive, profound, and—in the opinion of some—a little crazy, David Salles brings us great joy by joining the adventure of this11th edition.

The story goes that he was painfully shy. Yet for 30 years now, David Salles has spent his life performing before our eyes “so as not to take himself too seriously”:

*Golden Moustache*, *Case Départ*, *Bref*, *Babysitting*, as well as *Hors les murs*, *Maison Close*, *La Petite Histoire de France*, *3615 Monique*, *La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon*, and *Tous les dieux du ciel*—he’s absolutely everywhere, even—and especially—where you least expect him.

And so, because he admits to having a soft spot for Belgium and for short films, this talented actor, filmmaker, and theater director has been named president of the Short Film Jury for the11th edition of the FIFCL!

Later, in early 2027, we’ll be delighted to see him again in “La Vie est Folle et moi aussi,” his third one-man show.

The public is invited to watch the short films in the official competition on Saturday, November 14, at 1:30 p.m. in Liège, at the Palace movie theater. The jury, chaired by David Salles, will be announced in late September. So far, so good.
