For its 7th edition in November, the Liège Comedy Film Festival confirms the presence of Benoît Poelvoorde, and much more besides! In fact, the organizers have several exceptional moments in store for their audience.
“We’ll be bringing together Vincent Tavier, André Bonzel and Benoit Poelvoorde on Friday November 4 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “C’est arrivé près de chez vous”, says a delighted Adrien François. “We put Benoit on our poster as a way of honoring the film. The lead actor, co-writer Vincent Tavier and co-director André Bonzel will also be present… After a Q&A session with the public, we’ll be showing the film in the evening.”
But that’s not all! In the afternoon, André Bonzel will present his documentary “Et j’aime à la fureur”.
In 1992, “C’est arrivé près de chez vous” was released. A darkly humorous fiction with the look of a fake news report, and a cynical parody of the famous TV show Strip Tease, the film tells the story of a TV crew who follow a serial killer, played by Benoît Poelvoordre, step by step, as he launches his career. “Above all,” sums up Adrien François, “it’s the story of a graduation film, made with bits and pieces, which won over Cannes and part of the public, before conquering the whole audience to become one of the greatest classics of Belgian cinema!”
Want to discover or rediscover a leading actor, review a formidable career, share his own idea of laughter, and experience moments of laughter too? Join us on Friday, November 4, for an afternoon and an evening of fun: Rencontre au sommet with Benoît Peolvoordre, Vincent Tavier and André Bonzel.
