Jean Reno left his mark on the festival’s history when he inaugurated his slab on rue Pont d’Avroy, bringing the city of Liège to life and lighting up the eyes of film fans.
It was 9pm on Wednesday, September 5, when Jean Reno arrived in front of an impressive crowd, who formed a guard of honor to the rhythm of the applause and “thank you” shouted by the festival-goers who had come to pay tribute to him as far as the space where he inaugurated his slab.
Just before, the actor had moved the entire Forum hall at the prestigious opening ceremony, hosted by P.E. and Joëlle Scoriels.
Jean-Marc Barr(Le Grand Bleu) and Jean-Marie Poiré(Les Visiteurs, L’Opération Corned Beef) came to surprise him with their presence, offering an emotional moment for an obviously touched Jean Reno.
