La Boverie’s artistic project offers both a program of international exhibitions and a new showcase for the City of Liège’s permanent collections. The lower level of the building houses the best of the Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Liège collections: Lambert Lombard, Gérard de Lairesse, Ingres, Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Evenepoel, Delvaux, Magritte and others, testifying to the modernity of art in all periods, from the Renaissance to the present day. The tour, accessible to the widest possible audience, is accompanied by interactive educational support in four languages. Several works are classified as “treasures” of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
