How do you write a comedy?

Speakers

  • Sylvain Daï: Belgian actor, director, and screenwriter born on August 26, 1980, in Liège. After studying art history and attending the Liège Conservatory, he began directing and writing, while continuing to act.
    In 2012, he co-founded the multidisciplinary collective UBIK Group, with which he created three stage productions as well as several works that blend theater and installation art. Since 2017, he has also turned his attention to writing screenplays for film and television, co-writing the series *Baraki*.
  • Julien Vargas: A Belgian actor and screenwriter from Verviers. After starting his career in theater, he has been working on the series BARAKI since 2017. The two seasons comprise 32 episodes and have just been awarded the prize for “Best Series” at the recent René du Cinéma awards.
  • Fred Deloof: Directs films and TV series, including *Baraki*, as well as many other projects in which humor, the absurd, and reality blend together harmoniously.
