A professional master class open to everyone
On Wednesday, November 11, at 6 p.m., as part of the FIFCL’s Professional Meetings, Anotherlight is hosting a special evening dedicated to the behind-the-scenes world of casting, featuring casting directors and industry professionals.
How does a casting process work today? What are the challenges facing French productions today? What role do self-tapes, remote auditions, and international streaming platforms play? How are issues of diversity, artificial intelligence in talent scouting and selection, and the coordination of privacy transforming practices on film sets?
Far from a lecture or a set of ready-made formulas, this event is intended above all to be a space for open discussion. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, gain a better understanding of the selection process, discover what goes on behind the scenes at an audition, and explore the realities of the profession from the other side of the camera.
The event is open to everyone: professional actors, those in training, or anyone simply curious about the craft. It will conclude with a casual get-together over drinks, providing an opportunity for direct conversation with the speakers.
Who is this workshop for?
Whether you’re a recent graduate, an aspiring actor, or an experienced professional, this workshop is for anyone who wants to deepen their craft, build confidence in front of the camera, and gain a better understanding of the realities of the profession.
