Synopsis

A routine check-up reveals that Kathrin, a Pilates trainer, has kidney disease and needs a transplant. Her husband Arnold, a successful architect in the middle of a big project, is afraid to give away one of his kidneys. Götz, a friend of the couple, is ready to undergo surgery immediately if it means saving Kathrin's life, even if it causes problems with his girlfriend Diana. Faced with questions of life and death, the fragility of relationships within and between couples is laid bare. Finally, the question can no longer be avoided: what is true love?
