François Berléand
Our Guest Of Honour

François Berléand will be our guest of honour for the 6th FIFCL – and what an honour it will be!

François Berléand fell in love with the stage in the early 1970s, and over the years he has won the hearts of audiences not only in the theatre, but also through film and television. With his piercing gaze and charismatic personality, François Berléand has what we might call raw talent. He has the kind of personality you just can’t forget (much to our delight).

The winner of a César award in the early 2000s for Best Supporting Actor for Ma Petite Entreprise, he made a strong impact on audiences in 2003 with the feature film Mon Idole. Since then, his roles have continued steadily: Le Pari, Le Transporteur, Les Choristes, L’Ivresse du pouvoir, Ne le dis à personne, to name just a few.

For this year’s Festival, François Berléand will be our guest of honour… And what an honour it will be! He will be presented with a special prize for his career and will receive a tile on the Wall of Fame in the Rue Pont d’Avroy.
