Some 18,000 festival-goers at FIFCL 2022, reinforcing its position as the
first european festival dedicated to international comedy

In addition to the award for best actress to Jasmina Douieb in the Belgian film “Employee of the month”, three other prizes were awarded: the grand prize to “La mia ombra è tua” by Eugenio Cappuccio (Italy), the special prize to “Reste un peu” by Gad Elmaleh (France) and the award for best actor to Marco Giallini and Giuseppe Maggio for their role in “La mia ombra è tua”.

The short film jury, presided over by impersonator and comedian Laurent Gerra, also awarded two prizes. The award for best short film went to “Volver a la Tierra” by Raphaël Kirgo (France) and the award for best screenplay went to “Je joue Rodrigue” by Johann Dionnet (France). The feature film “L’employée du mois”, by Véronique Jadin, was also awarded the prize of the Province of Liege, while the Union of the Belgian Film Press (UPCB) gave its prize to “La mia ombra è tua”.

“Success confirmed in the theaters, since more than 85% of them were sold out for screenings as well as for the special events. As for the Forum de Liège, it was sold out twice during the opening and closing ceremonies”, the organizers note.

Note that the Walk of Frame of the rue Pont d’Avroy has been decorated with new slabs, namely those of Bernard Farcy, Benoît Poelvoorde, André Dussollier, Christian Clavier, Pierre Richard, Patrick Bruel and Karin Viard.
