Synopsis
Victor Pivert, an irascible, xenophobic businessman, travels to Paris for his daughter's wedding.
The victim of a minor road accident, he enters a chewing-gum factory in search of help.
There, he crosses paths with dangerous terrorists who are preparing to eliminate a revolutionary leader named Slimane.
Slimane manages to escape with Victor Pivert.
The two men make their way to Orly airport, soon to be followed by their captors.
To escape, they have no choice but to disguise themselves as rabbis.
Pivert is then mistaken for Rabbi Jacob, the New York luminary awaited with great pomp by the Jewish community of Rue des Rosiers...
